Scanning issues with EPIC demographic barcode labels

We have been scanning with the Clinitek Status since we became Beaker/EPIC users in March 2018.  We are suddenly seeing a rash of scanning errors with the demographic labels.  We have switch scanners with devices that don't have the problem and have also "recalibrated" the scanners. Issue persists.  We saw the same issue for a few months back with our GEM analyzers and it went away without ever knowing why it was happening.  Have seen a few times with the Hemochron very recently.  Any ideas?  Anyone else have this issue.
