EPOC Reader Replacement verifications

Could you share your practice for verification when you are replacing an EPOC reader? We are currently doing a calibration verification (levels 1-5) in triplicate, QC (levels 1 & 3) in triplicate for 5 days and patient sample comparison to the reference meter (at least 15 patient samples). I'm relatively new to this role but I think this may be excessive and is definitely expensive(!) and I need to hear from some others to gather data before I move forward. Thanks!

Janet, it is really up to what your medical director agrees is acceptable. I perform a thermal QA, a set of Cal-Vers x 1, and 1 patient sample compared with a reference meter.
