Amnisure ROM test
Hello,
For those who are using Amnisure ROM test in the lab, do you document the swab lot number and the vial lot number for each test? How do you capture the swab lot number when the L&D throw away the swabs?
Thank you,

Opal,
Our L&D nurses collect the samples. They deliver the test to the lab and we complete QC, testing, and reporting.
The lab does the ordering using the L&D account. We only have to train a handful of lab staff instead of everyone in L&D.
Only the qualified lab staff does the testing.
WE keep track of all the lot numbers of the kit, swab, vials, etc.
Doing the test in the lab, we found out that this is the most efficient ( no wastage and we bill the test ) and accurate way to do the test.
Thank you Pet! We just implemented this test so it is a little confusing when the L&D ordering their own supplies and we had no idea how to track those swab lot #s. I have to figure out how to order using the L&D account. It makes the most sense. Thank you for the tips Pet. You're always awesome!
