Middleware exceptions for incorrect MRN or patient ID

Hi all,

I received great feedback from the group concerning how to rectify Emergency MRNs, i.e., 11111111, 99999999, etc.  Thank you all so much!

I have another question concerning incorrect patient IDs that are typed in.  These are usually just off by one number and get stuck in the exceptions in our middleware.  How do you rectify these?

We also have some users in non-critical areas that use the Emergency MRNs for non-emergencies.  How do you treat these cases?  Any suggestions are greatly appreciated!
