PartoSure

Hello All,

Do any of your facilities utilize the PartoSure test for determining preterm birth? If so, is the actual testing performed in the lab or POC? Our system is considering implementing this testing platform but due to its complexity I am wondering if most have made this a lab performed test.

Thanks,

Hi Tierra!

We were considering using PartoSure as well.  However we also use FFN (with a reader) for our outpatient testing.  So either chemistry lost the benefit of a reader, or we had different platforms for the same purpose.  Another con was that the PS test kits did not come in  separate collection vs. collection/test kits.  We did not want to open the kits ourselves to separate the supplies and we did not want outpatient sites performing their own testing.  I have discussed this with Qiagen - we'll see what they come up with.  The specs do look promising though.
