Coag Specimen Collection - Dialysis

Good Morning,
I was wondering if anyone had a policy addressing the collection of coagulation specimens in relationship to dialysis.
I need some assistance in determining the recommended procedure for collecting specimen for coagulation testing on patients during and following dialysis treatment. I am trying to determine a proper waste volume if specimen collection is allowed during dialysis and the appropriate wait time for specimen collection after dialysis. Does anyone happen have a policy or procedure that might address this that they would be willing to share?
Any information that you might be willing to share would be greatly appreciated.
Thank You,
Kelly VanWagner

The policy here is coag testing is to be performed via venipuncture unless ordered from the access port. In that case, a 5 cc blank is to be obtained prior to obtaining the sample from the external access device. The collection slip must be documented with the collection being obtained using the EAD.
The procedure is not my to share since it does not belong to my department.
Thank you for this information. I really appreciate it.
