Documenting previous training

Hi All,
Has anyone documented training from a previous place of employment for a staff member? I have an RN educator with 10 years experience with using the Hemochron and I want to have him able to assess competency.
Per an email from CAP they say previous experience should be noted in their employee file with their resume.
Chances are I won't be able to get training documents so what else would be acceptable?

Hello - We had a similar situation a few years ago. The RN was not able to obtain her training/competency I-Stat records from her previous employer. My medical director decided that she would need to complete her 2 years experience with us prior to her taking on an educator role for I-Stat since we had no documentation of her previous IStat experience.
