Calling all past Round Table presenters and encouraging potential new Round Table presenters for the Chicago annual conference - time to submit proposals!
Granted that NO ONE is going to pay registration and travel/lodging to present Round Tables at AACC ASM. But some of you do attend the conference - here is an opportunity if you've wanted to try out speaking at a conference.
Presenters get $50 (cash) but there is no travel/lodging compensation.
If you haven't attended a Round Table, here are the advantages:
- Small-format, 10 attendees at each session, presented once at 7:30 and once at 12:30 on a single day
- Relaxed format - no stage, no microphone, no standing in front of participants
- High acceptance rate for proposals (though not guaranteed)
- Have two great topics in mind? Submit two proposals
- Usually very well attended & very popular - many roundtables sell out both sessions. The cost to attend RTs is low. RTs are not included in the registration fee. Participants must buy tickets.
- Learn through discussion how other laboratorians problem solve, implement or apply strategies
- Great way for younger laboratorians to get involved presenting at the annual meeting

Dear listserve members,
Just to circle back to the AACC call for 2020 annual meeting proposals for round tables.
Thank you SO MUCH to anyone who dug deep for time to write a proposal! We hit a bumper crop this year whereas other years have struggled to get enough round table proposals.
The letters of acceptance (or not) don't come out for several months.
Thanks for your effort to submit POCT proposals.
