QC for PPMP

We are in the process of transitioning over sight of PPMP to POCT. I have a few questions for those of you already overseeing PPMP. First do you perform QC for your saline wet mounts, KOH preps., Fern tests, and urine sediment?? If so, what do you use for QC material? Are you performing each day of patient testing? I appreciate any information you may have. Thank you.

We don't use QC. We use reference books and photomicrographs (like the ones from PT testing through WSLH or from the CLSI handbook) that are at the testing site that Providers can use as a real time reference. This has worked well and qualifies for CAP.
