iSTAT 6+ PT Failures

Hello All,
I just started with the Northern California VA as their POCC. They're having issues with proficiency testing with the 6+ cartridge through CAP. The Hct is running high on all CAP samples for the past 2 years or so. Abbott told them that CAP uses the wrong peer groups, that they compare to Chem 8 users, and that we should switch to API. This doesn't seem quite right to me, so I wanted to reach out to see if anyone else has this issue. I know the 6+ is waived, but per VA regs, we have to perform PT testing on ALL analytes.
Thanks!
