HMS Heparin Protamine Titration Assay Alternative PT

Since the HMS Heparin Assay doesn't have a Proficiency Test, what are you using as your alternate PT testing? Are you doing anything for the Dose Response assay other than monitoring of patient slopes?

I just revised our SOP to state that for the HPT cartridge our alternative assessment is to run the assayed quality control material on each new lot and new shipment
of cartridges.
For the HDR cartridges, I stated our alternative assessment is performed by recording and tracking the slope results.

We use this system and order an extra calibration set and have staff run three levels blind and self grade.
Max, there is a calibration set for the Heparin Assay?

For acceptable ranges we bought two kits and ran multiple tests on each level. We did the avg and SD calculations and made an acceptable range of +/- 2 SD.
