POCT Educator Position-Sunny Jacksonville, FL

I'm looking for a Point of Care Educator to join my team in Jacksonville, FL at UF Health Jacksonville.

Hours: Mon-Fri day shift (flexible), occasional to no holidays and weekends

Job Opening Summary:

Assists with implementation and monitoring of the Point-of-Care (POC) program to include system maintenance, training, quality control and administrative responsibilities at all sites performing POC testing.  Assists with the management and troubleshooting of the POC connectivity system.   Acts as a project management liaison to vendors on special POC initiatives.  Works with personnel at remote locations to identify system/network problems. Develops educational and training materials for POCT test systems used to teach and train allied health professional performing POC testing.  Must be self-driven and able to work independently and as a team member

Qualifications:

Required Education:
Bachelor's degree. Specific course work: Bachelor's degree that includes a minimum of 24 semester hours of academic sciences in one of the following: chemical, physical, biological, clinical laboratory science, medical technology, nursing, radiology, chemistry, health sciences, paramedic studies, or physics.

 Required Education:
Bachelor's degree. Specific course work: Bachelor's degree that includes a minimum of 24 semester hours of academic sciences in one of the following: chemical, physical, biological, clinical laboratory science, medical technology, nursing, radiology, chemistry, health sciences, paramedic studies, or physics

 Required Licensure/Certifications:
Current Florida licensure in one of the following: clinical lab technologist, registered nurse, radiologic technologist, emergency medical technician, or paramedic

Required Experience:
Two (2) years of experience in clinical laboratory or related field
