What is RALS Mirth? Has Abbott decided to rename it since acquiring Alere?

No ( and I apologize in advance to any IT professionals who read this because while I can hold my own in any discussion concerning POCT Interfaces  I hold only a high level ability to use the correct "lingo" and terminology for all things LIS)

This all has to do with the need to migrate to a newer version of Microsoft. Apparently to migrate one first needs to allow RALS to install  "Mirth" which is their own internal coding for communicating to the LIS. And one needs to be on their 6.0 version of the RALS software before that.

Our upgrade got postponed.  We were told that Abbott is not starting any new upgrades until after the new year.  There's a RALS webinar tomorrow, maybe they can update us on what the Mirth interface will look like.

We are scheduled for our upgrade next week, as far as I know it is still going to happen. The are doing the first step which is to bring us down for 4 hours and then they will perform the testing portion after the new year.

I upgraded my RALS to 6.0 SP1 this past summer.  I don't recall anyone mentioning anything about "Mirth."  Is this something I should be following up on.  I noticed on their website they now have available 6.0 SP4 version available.

We just upgraded yesterday and they did 6.0 SP3. We still have 1 more phase to go before its complete.

Hi,

Just curious, why did you upgrade to SP3 instead of SP4?  We are also on SP3 but SP4 has the fix for the Clinitek time.  Thanks.
