POCT waste stream usage

Some questions have come up lately among a variety of staff about the proper way to dispose of glucose meter strip and DCA Vantage reagent cartridges.
Where do you dispose of yours? Clear bag trash (absorbed blood) or red bag trash (contain a potential biohazard)?
