Competency Assessment in Excel Format

Has anyone tried to document competency assessment in an Excel format with all employees in one Excel file, rather than a sheet of paper per employee?  Will CAP inspectors find that acceptable?

Thank you!

Don, I would okay it as an inspector.  CAP does not state what you need for an observation, only that it needs to be done. I'm going to try going electronic this year by utilizing the Observer function in RALS.  It overwrites the past year, but I plan on inputting past information in the Memo section.  I'm tired of all the paper, too, and a lot of times the sheet is never available when you are actually performing an observation.  I guess I'll see how it goes!

Thanks, Vivian!  Glad that we are on the same page.  With the numbers of testing personnel we have, it is daunting task to use papers.
