We are validating a new LIS system and need to make sure that results that fall out of the useable range flag properly in the LIS (i.e. <10 or >600).  High flags are easy for all tests.  However I need to know what to do to get a < flag for ACT and PT/INR?

What can I do to the specimen to make it come out that low?

Have you tried using partially activated blood?

Hi Bob,

Have you tried dosing the cartridge and not hitting the start button for a while? Seems to work for the operators... just sayin'.  :)
