Sanicloth Prime Germicidal Wipes

Our infection preventionists have decided to standardize to the Sanicloth Prime germicidal wipes. This product has a 1 minute contact disinfecting time. Does anyone have experience with this product. Specifically if this product causes degradation of the plastics of the Nova StatStrip glucose meter, Abbott iSTAT, HemoCue and Hemochron Sig Elites?

Hi Reine- I would be interested what each of the device manufactures have to say about that SANI-CLOTH (Prime) and my other concern would be that the dwelling time is 1 minute. We use SANI-CLOTH BLEACH wipe by PDI and dwell time is 4 minutes- this is the most powerful (our Infection Preventionist Recommended) that kills both TB and C Diff. Does the Prime wipe kill all pathogenic organisms? This product (SC BLEACH) over long period of time does cloud the screen on the Inform ll - but I have no other issues w/ this wipe. If I could find a shorter dwelling/disinfecting time that was just as effective I would look definitely into it; the 4 min. dwell time has caused me to add additional devices to the Units for patient testing to be done within the appropriate time.
