Good morning,
With the latest issues with the iSTAT, I am trying to see if there are any other POC analyzers that run Crea. Do any of you have such an analyzer?
Thanks!!

If you're looking for something waived, the only device I know of is the Piccolo. I don't think it does a creat by itself, though. For non-waived, there is a Nova creatinine device. We looked at it, but it wasn't very reliable at the levels we needed to rule in or out for contrast. It might work for you...there is also the ChemSTAT from IL, but it does way more than creat. The Nova Prime also does creat, but again it's an analyzer and can do more than creat.
And I forgot; the Epoc also does creat, but it is also non-waived.
We use the Nova StatSensor (formally EZ Chem) but that is also non-waived
The istat has a creatinine only cartridge that wasn't recalled and its waived if used whole blood venous.
We also use the Nova StatSensor. It calculates GFR as well, which is why we have it in our Diagnostic Imaging department for screening kidney function prior to contrast dye administration. It is moderate complexity.
