iSTAT Chem 8 PT

What is everyone doing for PT samples for Chem-8 iSTAT cartridges? I looked on the CAP website, but I only see blood gasses specifically for iSTAT, and the Gen Chem looks a little too broad. (I've only checked with CAP, since the main lab already has a PT acct with them)
Thank you!

Does your main lab do the analytes already and are you all on the same CAP number?
Hi Adonica - Our main lab does most of the analytes (we don't run iCa) but the iSTATs are at 2 different locations/CLIA numbers - both separate from the main lab. My understanding is that I have to do PT for all CLIA numbers, but this is the first time setting up for moderate complexity testing. We are not CAP accredited, but CAP is what we use for PT in our main lab (we are inspected by state dept of health every 2 years).
Do alternate assessment by correlation with the core lab every 6 months.
CAP AQ4 is for the iSTAT
Yes if they are different CLIA's then you do have to do something for each one. We used to used the AQ4 also when we did them on the Istat. We don't now because the lab runs the analytes so we just do the correlations.
I use an API product. Item 145-20
