DCA A1c/EAG

Hello everyone - our lab is in the final stages of bringing the Siemens DCA Vantage in for HA1c. I have a reporting question. Our main lab analyzer reports both %A1c and the calculated EAG (estimated avg glucose). Right now in our LIS build there is not a place for EAG. Do you report EAG with your DCA A1c results? If not, is there a specific reason?
Thank you!

Hi Jill,
I'm not sure if it's due to (still) not having connectivity for the DCA Vantage A1c but it's actually never come up to report EAG with the POC A1c results. Meaning no MD using POC A1c results requested it. If/when we connect the Vantages, I doubt we'd change reporting to include.
Warm wishes.
We have never reported EAG from our DCAs and it's our only method. We have a very large endo/diabetic clinic so like Peggy said, I'm sure it would have been requested if they wanted it.
