Plasma sample type on i-Stat

My site is using whole blood lith. heparin for ctnI and whole blood edta for bnp.
Has anyone using plasma as the sample type for these particular analytes to your i-Stat?

Using plasma as a sample type makes it a LDT and high complexity because plasma is not an approved sample type. Just be aware of the headaches that come with that :).
We had on occasion used plasma but it has been years. I just now checked the CTI for both troponin and BNP-both state that plasma is acceptable (of course using the appropriate anticoagulant). Since there have been so many changes, I went to the Abbott site for the CTI, not trusting older ones.
