TEG 6s

Hello,

Our hospital purchased a TEG 6s analyzer. It seems like the device will be operated by a group of contracted anesthesiologists under the lab clia. My knowledge on this device is very limited and wanted to reach out to the group for feedback or words of wisdom about implementation, and regulatory requirements. We are CAP accredited. We use Telcor for all the point of care connectivity, but it looks like this device has its own data management. I requested to meet with the vendor to get more information. In the meantime are any of you willing to share your experience with the device, and the lab role regarding training, competency, proficiency and sample comparisons. Any advice greatly appreciated,

Thank you!

We just purchased them as well, 2 in OR with Perfusion running them and 2 in Blood Bank. We are CAP as well and I would love to follow this post as starting compliance for this new platform will start taking shape early next year.

We have 3 Teg6's and use Telcor with Teg Manager.  We are also CAP accredited. Please feel free to email me at Jessica.lang@stelizabeth.com for more information! I can also send you copies of our procedure and forms, if you'd like.

Jessica - can you please email me procedures and forms as well? We are in the process of purchasing them and hopefully will be implementing by mid next year. Thank you!

We have 4 of the TEG 5000 analyzers.... 3 in the ORs that are used by the perfusionists and 1 in the lab. I haven't been in my POCC role for very long so I am not an expert on these instruments, but feel free to email me if you have questions and I am willing to help where I can. We are both CLIA and CAP.

Hi,

Is there anyone willing to share their policy and procedure on the TEG6S? We recently procured 2.

Thanks!
