Clinitek Multistix QC into RALS

Good Morning Everyone!

We are having an issue with our Clinitek Multistix QC not being recognized in RALS. When the operator scans the Quantimetrix bottle it comes across with the lot number, expiration date and LEVEL LEVEL 1 or LEVEL LEVEL 2 depending on what level is being run. Due to the LEVEL LEVEL 1 / 2 the results are defined as QC- Other rather than Neg or Pos. We are trying to define this as Neg or Pos for recertification purposes. Does anyone else have this problem or had this problem? What did you do to resolve?

I have called both Siemens and RALS and they are stumped. In the Clinitek you have to define the QC level and that is what seems to be crossing over but you cannot leave this field blank. We also cannot define the LEVEL LEVEL in RALS because it can only be numerical. Any ideas?

Sorry for the long message! I know its only Tuesday and after a holiday weekend.

Hi Mallorie!

I see that this is from 2 years ago, but am hoping maybe you're still around.  I am running into the same problem you mentioned above.  I was hoping to require level 1 and level 2 Multistix QC as well as a positive and negative HCG QC for recertification, but it doesn't seem to be recognizing the samples when they are run.

Were you ever able to resolve this?

Thanks!
