epoc reports in RALS
Hello!
We are in the process of switching from the istat to the epoc, and I had a question about reports in RALS. Currently, as part of our IQCP, I review a report from RALS called "Istat Quality Check Codes by Operator". This gives me each operator and what their percentage of quality check codes are for a specified period of time - it also breaks it down to show what category and how many their quality check codes fall under. I then send out a corrective action email if an individual has a >20% quality check code for the month. I am trying to find something similar for the epoc but not having much success. I did see that under "Usage Statistics" there is an "epoc Usage Statistics by Operator" that shows the percentage of tests that were OK versus the percentage of tests that were incomplete for the specified amount of time. I'm wondering if this is my best bet? Any advice or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks,
Jacqueline

Were you able to call RALS or EPOC customer service and find out more?
Hi Sabindra,
I just completed a training call with RALS yesterday (part of our RALS upgrade process), and they were able to give me helpful solutions that I believe will work well for my needs. The short answer is that there isn't a direct comparable report in RALS for the epoc, but they showed me how using the "Usage Statistics" report and selecting specific parameters on the Results Review page would get me the information that I need. I highly suggest reaching out to RALS as they are very knowledgeable and have always provided me with great help. Good luck in your switch - I'm still fairly new to POC, and this was my first big project like this, but it went much better than I thought it would!
Thanks,
Jacqueline
Thank you Jacqueline for your response.
I apologize as I did not get a notification for these responses, so I am a little late in my response to you! On the Administration tab in Rals, I select the "Usage Statistics" tab and print the "epoc Usage Statistics by Operator". I then look at this to see the percentage of tests that are "OK" versus the percentage of tests that have "iQC" or "Incompete" errors and use that as my basis for corrective action emails. It takes a little more work than what I am used to with the reports for the istat because I do go a step further. When I find an operator that has a >20% iQC/incomplete or a combination of both, I go to the results tab and filter the flags for "external flag", "internal QC error", "no value", etc. and also filter by Operator to see exactly what errors they are getting. I can then give them better guidance when I send the corrective action email for our IQCP. This is what the Rals folks showed me, and I have found it to work so far. Again, it takes a few more steps and a bit more time, but it is better than nothing.
I hope this helps!
