GEM Hemochron 100s

We are going to be getting the GEM Hemochron 100s sometime in the next few months to replace our current Medtronic ACT Plus and HMS Plus devices.  We are going to be getting 6 of them and will be using the ACT + cartridges only.  Can anyone share any documents with me that may be helpful?  Policies, IQCP, Validation process, QC etc., or anything that you all encountered when implementing these devices?  We are already in process of working with their IT department for them to be interfaced.  My email is aholland@catawbavalleymc.org if you would prefer to respond via email.

Thank you!

Yes, the hemochron 100's as you mentioned are not approved for pediatric use.  This means that using them on peds would be off-label and considered "high-complexity".  We are moving to this system but are going to use the Signature Elites on the peds patients for this reason.

Hi Gloria. I would like the docs too please.  Thanks!

We are in the process of bringing these on board too. If you wouldn't mind sharing any documents you have Gloria from policy/procedure, to powerpoint for education purposes, QC/maintenance logs, it would be much appreciated! nbradshaw@mvhospital.net
