iSTAT PT+ cartridge

We are already using iSTAT for Chem 8 cartridge, but facility now wants to add the PT+ cartridge. Anyone have a validation plan and IQCP they are willing to share? What did you do to establish your reference range? This is my first time adding a cartridge to an existing validated instrument so any help is appreciated. Do you complete a method comparison?..... besides the PT cartridge that we are adding we don't have another in house method for PT testing. Right now we send PT testing out to a reference lab... do I do a method comparison to them?
Thanks for the help in advance.

HMS+ vs. iSTAT Method Comparison | 2 | 2 | 369 |
Abbott assigned someone in their tech dept along with their rep to assist us with appropriate data collection. We compared our old PTINR cartridge to the new PT+ and the main lab's STAGO.
I can send you some information on how we performed the validation, but we also compared to our old PTINR cartridge and the lab's STAGO. Since you don't have another in - house analyzer, you may have to compare iSTATs
to iSTATS. My suggestion would be to contact your inspection agency and speak to one of their
reps (CAP, CMS, etc). They can be very helpful when it comes to doing it 'right'.
