To the community and to Steve -
I am somewhat still a newbie as it comes to the POCT world, but man have I jumped in with both feet. I wanted to send a giant thank you and well wishes to Steve Valorz who has such gifts and talents that he has shared with us all.
If you know him, you KNOW him - his kindness, his selflessness, his desire to just be near and dear. He is a real top-tier gentleman with mad design skills to boot. Steve has given of his time, talent, and energy to all aspects of point of care and has and will always be a humble individual who won't even call out his own retirement (despite my double dog dare to post).
If you don't know him, I wish you had the opportunity (or maybe you didn't even realize you crossed paths). Pointofcare.net is a resource for all and truly due to Steve. He has designed many of our Logos and backgrounds for parties, committees, and the Afterglow. He will never admit to all the positive impacts he has had on our community, but rather will twist it that he is the lucky one to have known all of us.
So, since Steve is not one to take credit for all the things he has accomplished, I give this space for those who knew him to spread the love and well wishes for him. And because the POC world is family - even if you didn't know him, wish him well and tell him see ya later!
Steve, until next time.
Enjoy your retirement,

We couldn't have started the regional POC groups without you either! You helped so many of us in the early days find others in the same role and provided venues for support, encouragement and education for our professional growth and sanity!
Thank you, my friend, and wishing you and your beautiful family much health and happiness!

Steve - Thanks for all everything you've done for point of care testing over the years! So much fun at the RUGS, Tri-State and AACC meetings! Enjoy all of the new memories you'll be making with your family during retirement! Remember if you're ever near "Kuhnville", please stop in, we'd love to catch up!

Steve, best of luck writing the next chapter in your life... and know that you have earned the love, respect and appreciation of the entire POCT community.
Congratulations and thanks for all you do!
He gave us a place to network and meet new people. A place where we could find out who was meeting in person and who was hosting webinars through the years.
He joined us in person at our meetings and celebrated our achievements with us in countless ways.
PointofCare.net reminded us to check for the latest regulatory updates and to congratulate our friends and colleagues on their current successes.
Steve will be missed by the Point-of-Care Community!
From your friends in the KEYPOCC Group, we wish you well. We wish you and your family health. May you find your days full of your favorite people and activities.
Happy Retirement, Steve!
With Heartfelt Gratitude,
Jeanne
Steve, we wish you well in your coming adventures in retirement. You have been such a great resource for all of POCT, for such a long time. I hope that this outpouring of love and appreciation warms your heart and makes you smile. You will be greatly missed, and we only hope that we can catch you at the regional POCT meetings. Come to Phoenix in November!
Best wishes to you and your family,
Kathleen
See you in future on a cruise or trip/travel! Finally got that British Isles 'down' like I told you about! ENJOY IT ALL!!! You so deserve.
