ABG Syringes (Backorder issue)
Hello!
I am not sure if other facilities are experiencing the same hardship as us, but the syringes we used for ABGs are on backorder until June 2026.... Our Respiratory team is now trying to find alternatives to utilized or alternative testing methods. So far most alternative syringes won't work because they have too many cc's of heparin and aren't big enough to gather enough blood to dilute the heparin in the syringes. As far as alternative testing methods we were thinking of ...
