Recording Ambient Temperatures
What is everyone using to monitor ambient temperature and/or humidity in their areas with POC devices/cartridges? We have a traceable digital thermometer in each area and have staff record temps daily. We would like to find something that would record the temp for us daily or hourly and give us the ability to download the temps for review monthly. Does anyone know of any traceable device that can do this that isn't super expensive? I'm just tired of hearing people complain about how long...

Glucose QC Question
Does anyone require QC for glucose strips when a new canister is opened during the day?
We have the 24 hour requirement, and we ask that if a new canister of strips is opened throughout the day, it must have QC run before the strips are used for patients.

LeadCare II Collection & Transport
We currently utilize the LeadCare II for POC lead testing across our pediatric sites. Previously, clinic staff collected samples into an EDTA microtainer in the patient room, then transported the specimen to the analyzer located in a designated lab area to continue & complete the testing process.
