Critical Care POC research

I would like feedback on the feasibility to perform capillary testing of a POC device in patients with sepsis and inflammatory diseases.  The testing would require 4 separate finger sticks per patient and 2 separate operators.  This is not a CLIA Waived product so experienced operators are acceptable.  I'm looking for feedback on recruitment concerns.

We use Abbott i-STAT CG4+ cartridge with venous or arterial blood to test the Lactate.  Only requires one operator with one stick.

What is the device you are considering?  We use the iSTAT CG4+ cartridge for lactate.  One stick and results in less than 4 minutes.

Are you looking at adults or children?  Studies like this usually require extensive set up and paperwork filled out; patient approval forms etc.
