Question: Has anyone had trouble obtaining acceptable results for the Glucose test (CAP PT, AQ4) utilizing the iStat glucose cartridge?
Thanks.

Yes, the glucose was not acceptable for the CAP AQ.
Has anyone had the same problem for the pH also.
Yes, especially at the low end. I am wondering if it is because the CHEM8, etc. are reported along with the Glucose only cartridge. Do we need to contact Abbott or CAP to see if they can separate them out, do you think?
I just sent an email to Abbott POC technical support. The PT sample results that were at the lower end of the range were the ones we had problems with too.
I had all my results come back acceptable this time. I used CG4 to run my pH, PCO2, PO2, and Lac. Then I used Chem8 cartridges to run the rest. EG7 cartridges were used to run the HCT. Unfortunately the last AQ survey my PCO2 was out. Every time I take this survey I hold my breath and say a prayer:)
I am in the same boat, hoping for the best every time I submit the survey and more often than not, I have to use a code 22 or 11 at least once and one of the analytes will fail. This last survey didn't do well for sample 10 specifically. The pH as well as the p02 (which is already finicky) was out. I'm starting to feel a little discouraged with the iSTAT and CAP specimens but I'm glad I'm not the only one feeling this way.
I have also emailed CAP concerning this problem
Has anyone had problems with CAP AQ4-B Hemochron/Hemoglobin results on CHEM8+ cartridge?
Now I'm really confused. I use AQI for my iSTAT CAP samples and wondered why you all were using AQ4. However, I can't even find AQI in the 2017 CAP book. I just ordered the same as last year. Anyone else using AQI? On the HCT side, we did get a <15 on #06.
Yes you are correct it is AQI-B. I had problems with sample #08 and #09. My sample 06 was 15.0.
AQ4 is the code for ordering the PT.
AQI is the name of the PT.
I totally agree this confused me too. I used AQI but in the information booklet with kit instructions it states kit contents AQ3 and AQ4 because you get two sets of vials with this kit. At least this is how I made sense of it all.
Thanks Pamela, that makes sense. I couldn't find my copy of the order form from this year.
I have contacted CAP and Abbott about the problem I'm seeing.
Please email CAP and Abbott as well. Maybe if they see how many of us are having problems, they'll begin the process of addressing the issue.
I do remember CAP telling me to let them know if there are lot# runs that have vastly different results on QC; such as glucose on the CG8 vs CHEM8. They will have you denote lot# series if they know this could be an issue.
