IQCP for ABL80 OSM

Does anyone have an IQCP for the ABL80 OSM they are willing to share? We are implementing this analyzer for the Cath Lab to replace the AVOXimeter 4000. Thank you in advance for your help.

Karla,

Thank you so much for the documents. This is my first exposure to the ABL80 and looking forward to using it.

Claudia,

Just curious, what in particular do you see as an advantage of the OSM80?  We are familiar with both the OSM80 and the AVOX and although you get a few more lockouts to enable with the OSM80, we chose the AVOX over it when we had the opportunity (and I am a big supporter of Radiometer overall).

Although we are a relatively small-volume cath lab and the waste that we would have had with the OSM80 (at the time you could not buy disposables with under 600-test count) made it a no-brainer.

James,

I like the AVOX but my end users are not the most compliant. We use RALS Web3 for our other POC platforms. Our patient ID and operator ID are alpha-numeric which is a problem with the AVOX. They want a printout but fail to manually enter patient results in Meditech. It's really a compliance issue and with the OSM80 there should be no problems with resulting, etc. We will be using the 25-test sensor cassette because we have low volume also. Our CAP inspection window opens in December so I hope to have adequate data that shows improved compliance.

Sounds like that's a win for you then.  They weren't offering a 25-test count option when they first rolled them out.  Good luck, sounds like you're on the right track.

I keep petitioning Accriva to get up to speed with their technical limitations on the AVOX but they don't seem to be in any hurry.  In the meantime, they risk losing business, I think. Undecided

We had the same situation. Demo'd the AVOX but then the ABL 80 Flex OSM was mentioned. More user friendly and connected to RALS with all the compliance issues solved. We use the 200 test solution pack and sensor cassette. They were the smallest available at the time.

Karla-

Would you please email me privately? We’re implementing an ABL80 OSM and I’m curious how you handle lot comparisons of reagents.

Thanks!
