I found an article posted I think in 2011 about this, as well as information at the AACC convention a few years back. It was something they were planning to bring to market. When I did not hear of it again for a year or two, I queried Phillips. Apparently they changed their minds and decided to invest in Magnotech technology for TNI instead of PTH. What a shame, as it looked like preliminary work was looking good, and we have such a need for a true POC small handheld method for this assay.
In addition, I have not found any small POC analyzers for this test. Best to date is smaller tabletop analyzers or systems that can be placed near the OR, such as Future Diagnostics STAT I-O-PTH system, or Roche Elecsys, or Tosoh AIA 360.
