Do you perform 6 month cal ver for the AVOX 1000E?

I could not find manufactures recommendation to perform in the operators manual but when I recently call tech support they mentioned that it was required.  I also found this statement in the manual saying the AVVOX 1000E could maintain a calibration for at least two years.  What happens after two years?

We are having an issue were all SDIs from the SO surveys show a negative bias that is  >1.0 for most but some are >2.0.

The ITC AVOXimeter 1000E is factory-calibrated and employs highly stable state-of-the-art light sources. Factory tests indicate that, when used in accordance with this Operator's Manual and other instructions, the ITC AVOXimeter 1000E is capable of maintaining its calibration for at least two years. Should recalibration be required contact an ITC technical support representative for assistance

I do run a 6 month CAL/VER and comparison for my two AVOX 1000E.  If you are having any issues with QC or CAP samples it sound like your lenses inside the analyze are dirty. Since the analyzers tend to be work horses and so dependable its like it's their way of saying "clean me".  I've set a scheduled maintenance where our Biomed team takes the analyzer apart and cleans the lenses every 6 months.  I have yet to have any issues since I started this process.

We do the same as Kammy except for quarterly optics cleaning or whenever the daily filters do not pass.   I use a material from RNA Medical CVC223 for the calver.

6 month PM's and right after the Cal/Ver.  RNA Medical CVC223 works great for this task and they have an program evaluator for your statistical data.

I use the same RNA medical product every 6 months and for every new analyzer or after repair.

I have these set up with Biomed for quarterly cleaning. Anything less than that for us and we would have issues.

Do any of you have a good spreadsheet for documenting LQC for the AVOX.

Also do you participate in the RNA statistical program?

I do have one and will send to you if you give me your email address.

Thank you Tessa.  slowery@firsthealth.org
