iSTAT inserts

Hi all - The way we get our iSTAT cartridges in is not my favorite - Materials Management receives everything and then parts it out to the places that ordered them. This means they are receiving our iSTAT cartridges (and not recording the temp strips GRRRR). It also means that any package inserts are just thrown out. I'm trying to change this, but it's slow going. Can anyone tell me if there is a package insert that comes with the CREAT and/or CHEM-8 cartridges? Does anyone have a copy if inserts are involved that they can email? I've downloaded the individual IFU/CTI but I have people asking me about the actual inserts.

There are no package inserts inside the i-STAT cartridge boxes. All package inserts are on the i-STAT website (called CTI Sheets). They are updated every
6 months along with the CLEW upgrades (unless Abbott sends out an off-cycle memo or product alert).
Also, documentation of the temp strip is part of manufacturer’s instructions so is a requirement under any inspection agency. You might want to have a discussion
with your Materials manager to let them know that it is required. If that gets you nowhere, maybe your lab director could have that discussion.

Our warehouse receives my order directly from Abbott and they understand to bring it directly to me.
The Temp Monitor Strip Card is in each shipping box, but there are no package inserts in the shipping containers or cartridge boxes.
