We have Sunquest LIS and then it goes to Epic EMR. I know that Epic can handle the ambulance results. However, the ambulance crew is assigning their own patient ID numbers, and didn't want to change at this point. I believe at some point they will get it all interfaced with Epic, but not any time soon. I'm not sure what we'll do when that happens, but with the way things have been changing, I'm just putting it all on the back burner for now.
Istat's reportable range for Lactate is 0.30-20 mmol/L. I ran AMR using Eurotrol and Istat's Cal ver Materials and the lowest value that I got was 0.75. Any other materials in the market that that can go as low as 0.30 or 0.40?
Regarding the reference range change for CG4's, we also have other gas cartridges in use so all have the same reference range currently. Our NICU isn't happy with the new limits on pH. Does anyone use different ranges for different cartridges? Do you have to have different test codes for your LIS to do this? Any suggestions how to do this?
thanks all,
