Glucose Meters in Isolation Rooms

Hi everyone, I can't seem to post anything on the new groupsite so I'm trying via email. Hope it works! We have Nova glucose meters in each ICU room. When the patient is in isolation, staff are struggling to access their badge under their PPE to scan and log into the meters. Has anyone encountered this issue? Any great and wonderful solutions?? Thanks! Danielle

Can they manually type it in?

We have the same meters. For isolation rooms they use the disposable meter bags that can be purchased from Nova. You can scan everything thru the bags. One bag they put the meter in and another they put their badges and test strip containers in.
