Quidel Sofia SARS Ag testing and cleaning instrument

Hi,
If you are using the Quidel Sofia (1 or 2) for SARs antigen testing are you cleaning the instrument between every patient? Also, is the operator changing their gloves between patients?
Quidel did no update their package insert with guidance on this.

That is a great question, I might try calling Quidel for an answer. If I get one I'll post back.
A clinic I monitor wants to use the Quidel SARS/Flu combo test. If you are using it, please let me know how it is working for you. We have a problem with the validation in our Main Lab so we went back to the separate kits. Anyone have opinion about this combo test. I would like to hear from you.
