ISTAT: Critical result flagging (QML/Telcor and EPIC)

Do you set your critical ranges in QML/Telcor or EPIC?
Currently
Ranges/limits are set in QML the result flags at the time of testing and the user can respond appropriately.
Results are received into EPIC with the critical flag from QML, charged and final verified.
Documentation of physician notification is still made in EPIC by the user afterwards. This is done flowsheets or wherever they document
physician notification (this is a struggle different from unit to unit).
Not sure about EPIC. If critical flags are set in EPIC do all critical results not get final verified?

We have DE and UniPOC, the flagging on the iSTAT is set in DE. However, EPIC has the critical flags set also. All results are set to auto file in Epic for POCT coming from UniPOC. We have iSTAT operators enter a specific comment code (7 Physician Notified) when there is critical result(s). If we have questions in reference to the comment code use we email for a screenshot of the documentation from epic. As POC department does not have access to nursing notes or nursing flowsheets.
