Hello-
One of our clinics is using the UriSpec Plus reader for urinalysis. The 11 way strips that they use says in the package insert to run quality control with each new vial. each new operator, when there are questionable results, and every 30 days. My question is- per CLIA doesn't the quality control need to be ran each day since the clinic is using a reader for results? Thank you!

Is this analyzer CLIA waived? If so, then you can follow manufacturer recommendations. TJC used to require daily QC if run on an analyzer (which we still follow), but I think they also changed to manufacturer recommendations.
Yes it is CLIA waived.
If waived you only have to follow manufacturer instructions.
