Does anyone have a normal range they use when resulting ACT + ? If not, do you put in a disclaimer?

We add the comment on our iSTAT ACT-K results:
  • Reference range:
  • 88 - 135 seconds without anticoagulant
  • >400 seconds for cardiac bypass surgery

I would recommend doing a normal patient study and asking your users what is their target level is.

We use the Medtronic HMS Plus.  Our Reference range is 74-137s.  We have this comment on all results:
Interpretation of ACT results may vary greatly dependent on the
course of therapy for any individual patient. The patient's physician
will determine the range of the ACT results desired for that
patient's treatment.
