CHEMSTATs

We have ChemSTAT in our 2 ED/UC sites. We have it interfaced through GEMWeb Plus into Telcor.

Hi Kathleen -- this is not to do with CHEMSTAT but our site is using the GEM4000 and it is currently interfaced through GEMWeb+ directly into the HIS. We are looking to change the interface to GEMWeb+ to Telcor but we understood that we would still need to gather all of the iQM and corrective action data via GEMWeb+ and wondered if the extra interface step was beneficial? Would you be able to share the benefits you have seen with this way of interfacing (GEMWeb+ to Telcor)? 

We do have GEMWeb+ as a pass-through going into Telcor and then to the LIS, which then sends it to the HIS. We use GW+ as a device manager, but all the operators and consumables are in Telcor. Most, if not all, of our operators also have access to other devices, so having the devices connect to Telcor means we don't have to keep operators in multiple systems. We also have eLearning in Telcor, so that operator competency can be downloaded into Telcor.
