Capillary Collection Devices for blood gases

Can anyone recommend or share what you are using to collect a capillary blood gas.  Our Respiratory Department currently uses a capillary collection device with balanced heparin made by Irma but they are going to discontinue this product.

Hi Rosemary! We use RNA Medical CT 095 Combo Blood Collection Tubes. They are expensive, but are made to work with the POC i-STATs in place for blood gases in our NICU (http://rnamedical.com/products.php?id=21).

They also have CT220 Blood collection tubes that can be used for blood gas collection (http://rnamedical.com/products.php?id=22)

We use Siemens, part # 478605.

We use the Sarstedt Minivette for the iSTAT. My NICU loves them.
