AVOX Self-test

Do any AVOX users require the daily self-test that occurs when the analyzer is first turned on? Do you find it helpful as an electronic function check or is it just another task for the staff to do?

We do not perform that task on a daily basis.
We have had an AVOX for years, but I guess I'm not sure what you mean? Are you talking about the orange/yellow filter check (EQC)?
I realize that the optical filters are required daily. However the self-check does additional checks on the system. From the responses, I don't think anyone requires the self-check and feels that the optical filters will detect any electronic or device issues. Thanks for everyone's feedback!!
Hello. We do the self-check once weekly by powering the analyzer off/on.
