EPOC Failed IQC or CNC

EPOC users what is your policy for results that report as failed IQC or Can not calculate?  Are both treated the same?  Do you repeat or report all but the analyte that failed?

We repeat the whole thing, unless it's a code patient.  In that case, they report the good results & then repeat it to get the whole panel if the provider wants it.

We typically report the results that come across, and comment ie: "iQC on Crea only, all other results OK"-- unless the other results are wonky, too..then we might not upload any of it, especially if we see that a repeat was done and those results are better.  It's up to them to decide if they want a repeat of the tests that didn't work the first time...but they'll usually repeat the whole thing. Some *will* repeat only the tests that didn't work, but it depends somewhat on the operator.

Like Gloria, all the tests that have results are sent and an IQC fail comment is sent for the test that did not run. We trained them to repeat the failed test unless there’s an issue with sample integrity, then the whole test has to be repeated but most of the time, they repeat the whole test.
