Another LeadCare recall

Just spoke with Magellan Tech Support and they will be issuing another recall list shortly. I'm not sure what lots will be recalled, but all of them I've had problems with are on the list.

2114M-06

Seems best to just not run the test right now, if I can get providers/lab committee to agree.

The program I manage has completely suspended use of Magellan LeadCare II testing. We are switching to an in office collection in an EDTA microtainer and sending it out to Quest for testing.

We suspended testing too. Not only did our organization feel the need but our state's department of health and human services (MDHHS) has recommended to cease testing as well.

I took the recall comment below to mean stop testing with all kits We had stopped after the 3rd letter. They will have to get this totally resolved before we start back
•Discontinue use of all test kits and quarantine remaining inventory.

Miranda - no other waived kits for Lead - I've been looking and hoping for a couple of years now.
