POCT Manager competency

Do you all have a separate checklist for the POCT Manager's competency?  I do not run any patient samples, but I know I must be deemed competent in order to perform other employee competency.  I have just been using the same format that I use for the employees who perform testing, but moving forward I would like to create a separate competency checklist for POCC since roles are different.  Does anyone have any examples of what they use to assess competency for managers/POCC that they would be willing to share?  Does it still need to be assessed with the 6 elements of competency that is used for employees performing non-waived testing?

Following......Great question, and  I'd like to see the responses also!

I would be interested in what others are using also...  I don't believe you would need the 6 elements of competency since you are not reporting out patient results.

I am in the process of developing one.  I think it should be more centered around how the POCC program is managed and ensuring annual review of compliance requirements for credentialing, quality, proficiency testing and things of that nature.

I used pages 6 and 7 of this brochure linked below as a guide since I'm the TC and don't perform any patient tests.
