Signature Elite ACT Annual Checks for CAP

We are moving to the Hemochron Signature Elite for ACTs. My question is - In order to stay compliant with CAP, do I need to perform an Annual Thermometer and Timer Checks? This does not seem necessary as the Thermometer and Timer (EQC) are both internal. I also did not see anything in the Operator's Manual that mentioned this as maintenance.
We previously had a Hemochron Response and performed a thermometer check of our TVT with and NBS Thermometer and also compared a certified timer against the EQC wand timer.

Hi there! We use the Hemochron Signature Elites in our system. I do not know of an annual thermometer and annual timer check being part of this instrumentation. To be sure the best way, you should contact Werfen and see if that is part of Sig Elite maintenance. You can always do more but never less. :)
