Hi all,
What syringe are you using for VBG lines? Because we are a pediatric facility they prefer to use 1cc syringes and all the ones I have been finding (that are actually available) are arterial only. Anyone have any ideas?
Thanks in advance :)

Our institution uses dry lithium heparin syringes for use on the NOVA Prime Plus for ABG & VBG collections. Instrumentation drives the specimen type.
We use the syringes for either arterial or venous collection as long as the correct volume is collected.
Any other thoughts out there??? I would be very interested, too.
