Magellan LeadCare II

My primary care clinics are inquiring about lead testing in the clinics. It would need to be waived testing. What is the current status of the Magellan LeadCare II device? This topic comes up every so often and when it does it seems there is some sort of issue with the device. If you use/used this device what are your thoughts on implementing it?

Thank you!

Everything is back and available as of March I believe.
We are looking at implementing this as well HOWEVER there is the mandatory reporting, lead contamination risk-(I am having to research lancets to make sure they will not contaminate the sample, patients wash their hands without use of paper towels (lead contamination risk) that make this a tricker POCT to bring on board. Not a hard test to do (from what I have seen) just a more complicated all the prep work.

Leadcare II using whole blood - Waived, Magellan now owns ESA
